Fuel & Extra Vitamins
Fuel™ is a comprehensive carbohydrate, vitamin, amino acid, polyunsaturated fatty acid, and trace element supplement developed to address nutritional requirements commonly associated with corals. fuel™ contains ascorbic acid in a base of chlorella, which contains a rich assortment of amino acids and vitamins. The health benefits of chlorella are widely known and while spirulina, a similar algae, has been regularly used in the industry, aquavitro is the first to utilize the vastly superior chlorella. fuel™ is formulated to provide nutrients available from natural tropical reef waters.
Chlorella is a unique algae that grows in fresh water. It is extremely high in enzymes, vitamins and minerals, including the full vitamin-B Complex. It is over-flowing with unsaturated fatty acids, amino acids, and proteins. There are also vitamins found in Chlorella including: Vitamin C, pro-vitamin A (B-carotene), thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, Vitamin B12, biotin, choline, Vitamin K, lipoic acid, and inositol. Minerals in Chlorella include: phosphorus, calcium, zinc, iodine, magnesium, iron, and copper. It contains a higher level of amino acids than spirulina and is FDA approved for use with ornamental fish.
Elos Extra Trace, an additive of the EXPERTLINE, is a product specifically design to match the need of all the aquariums containing a high number of corals as well as for aquarium with very efficient filtering, protein skimmer or using very strong lighting systems. Specially dedicated to the advanced marine aquarium enthusiast, it is a very efficient, highly concentrated integrator that contains a balanced quantity of trace elements such as manganese, barium, boron, iron, gold as well as a multitude of other pure salts that are necessary for fishes and invertebrates, sometimes in only very minute quantities.
Although vitamins are only one of a variety of components of a healthy diet, your ornamental fish and invertebrate requires vitamins for survival. Whereas the quantity of vitamins supplied to the fish with ELOS SV, ELOS OMEGA and PRO SKIMMER range is sufficient in most situations your fish require an extra portion of vitamins in some stages, like when frozen fish food is used for feeding, in stress situations caused by transportation, relocation, and acclimatisation to the aquarium, during and after pharmaceutical treatment in order to support spawning maturity of mainly vitamin C and E, and for the raising of young fish.
Corals spend energy for growth and reproduction. Research has shown that their total energy demand cannot be met only by photosynthesis. If we also consider that through protein skimming and mechanical filtration we clear almost all organic particulate matter from our systems, it’s easy to realize that the availability of nourishment in our aquarium often becomes a limiting factor. To supply our corals the additional energy they needs to flourish, we must offer them nourishment via a multitude of sources like amino acids, zooplankton and, in general DOM (dissolved organic matter). But we know well that inside closed systems some species of corals (mainly SPS) really significantly benefit (better colors) from a reduced addition of organic additives that MUST be selected and of high quality. Based on our researches, in 1997, we have introduced to the market a “TRIS”of supplements to feed our corals. One of this is a source of additional “energy”: Elos ProSkimmer
Reef-Roids is a blend of naturally occurring marine planktons, which contains a species of zooplankton that is unique to our product. It is formulated to minimize water degradation and is ideal for Goniapora, Zoanthids, Mushrooms, and all other filter feeding corals. With continued use, your corals will never experience faster growth and coloration!
